Also available with this service is a travel bag with the most common medications for use as recommended by the physician. This service is included and does not have an additional cost for trip members.
Common Fear: Disorientation, culture shock, the unknown
Go Global Solution: Our guides are experienced and have travelled before on many occasions. They may speak multiple languages and/or make plans as necessary to ensure their communication is clear and solid during the trip. Tour guides maintain contact with members of the destination community and search for all the most recommended spots before you even arrive. This allows them to ensure they are familiar with your destination and that they are prepared to answer any questions you may have.
While there is no way for you to know everything before you arrive, we offer pre-trip meetings to help you meet other trip members, and also your guide. This along with a well prepared and discussed itinerary lessens some of the shock of new travel destinations. Also provided are packing guides related to your trip destination, the weather, local customs and activities.
Common Fear: Forgotten necessities, confusion about what to pack
Go Global Solution: We are people too, and on occasion forget our toothbrush or another needed item. Our guides help trip members orient themselves to the community when they arrive at their destination. This can include the location of local grocery stores and/or convenience stores where hygiene products can be purchased. If there is not one nearby, we are familiar with multiple modes of transportation in each destination and can ensure you are able to go and purchase what you may have forgotten.
Common Fear: Getting lost, new surroundings
Go Global Solution: Perhaps you are someone who is directionally challenged even in your hometown. Fear not, throughout the duration of your trip you will be encouraged to carry your hotel’s business card as well as the number for your guide. This ensures that if you are brave enough to venture out on your own during a free afternoon you are always only a phone call away from your hotel or guide. However, you also do not have to venture out alone, as GG provides many options for group outings.
Common Fear: Fraud, being taken advantage of
Go Global Solution: Part of your pre-trip meeting as well as the on the ground orientation is discussion of local customs. This will include ways to say “no,” to ask for help, to decline an offer, and where to safely shop. You will be given advice on how to tip (if appropriate) and how to order. Guides will direct you as to what you should look for when you are on your own or exploring local markets. On occasion it may be necessary for your guide to intervene and help you decline an offer, and/or finish paying for your meal. Go Global recognizes it can be very nerve wrecking and difficult to communicate in a foreign language, especially when there is money involved. For this reason, we are familiar with specific situations where their assistance is more likely to be necessary and are prepared to intervene.
In preparation we will advise you in ways to be respectful of your destination and also in ways which will lessen how you stand out in the community. We take the safety of all of our trip members seriously and for this reason do ask you to participate with respectful conduct and by following the advice of your guide. These practices ensure you have a fun, safe, and stress-free trip.
Common Fear: Affordability
Go Global Solution: While the cost of any trip can seem impossible, the cost of international trips specifically can be overwhelming for many people. We do accept payments, so you do not have to put all of the cost down at once. Leading up to the trip date regular updates will be provided regarding your trip itinerary, as well as your payments and remaining balance. This helps you know the entire time what payments have been received and what amount is still needed by the final payment date. Your trip deposit is counted towards your final amount as well. Additionally, if you follow Go Global on social media there are occasionally options where you may save money on your trip.
